How to Deposit and Withdraw on MC Markets? Arrival Times, Fees, and the Whitelist
When a deposit goes wrong, the worst outcome is money you can never get back — avoiding it takes just one rule to remember.
Introduction
This article makes clear everything essential about deposits and withdrawals: which assets are supported, how long they take to arrive, how much they cost, and the two mechanisms that protect your funds.
1. Deposits: What's Supported, How Long, and How Much
MC Markets supports direct deposits of five assets: BTC, ETH, SOL, USDT, and USDC. Internal transfers (between MC Markets accounts) arrive instantly; external deposits (transferred in from another exchange or wallet) usually take 1 to 5 minutes, depending on network conditions. The platform charges no deposit fee — you only pay the blockchain's own miner fee (gas). Deposits go to the Spot Account by default.
2. The Most Important Rule: The Network Must Match
The same token can exist on multiple chains — USDC exists simultaneously on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Solana, and other networks, but these are not interoperable. Sending USDC on Ethereum to an address on another network is like mailing a letter to a house number that doesn't exist: the post office won't return it, and the letter simply vanishes. Once a blockchain transaction is confirmed it is irreversible, and the platform cannot reverse or recover it.
So there's only one rule: the network selected on the sending side must exactly match the network selected on the deposit page. When depositing to a new address for the first time, send 5 to 10 USDC as a test first, and only transfer a large amount after confirming it arrived — one gas fee is like buying insurance for your entire transfer.
3. No Crypto? You Can Buy Directly with Fiat
The “Buy Crypto” option on the deposit page supports buying crypto directly with a credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, and more; the coins you buy go automatically into your Spot Account. For full details, see “The On-Ramp Guide to Buying Crypto with a Credit Card.”
4. Withdrawals: Initiated Only from the Spot Account
Withdrawals go through multiple verifications, have no maximum limit, and only incur the blockchain miner fee, with the exact amount shown on the withdrawal page. Note: withdrawals can only be initiated from the Spot Account — funds in the Futures Account must be transferred back to Spot first. This is a deliberate security design to prevent trading margin from being moved out by accident.
5. The Withdrawal Whitelist: Your Last Line of Defense
The withdrawal whitelist is a list of pre-approved “addresses allowed for withdrawals” that you set up in advance. Once enabled, withdrawals can only be sent to addresses on the whitelist — even if someone fully takes over your account, they cannot move funds to an unfamiliar address. Adding an address requires security verification, so an attacker can't add their own address during an attack either.
Whitelist addresses have an expiry and are automatically removed when they lapse — this prevents an old address that's no longer yours from being trusted forever. Just re-add it when prompted. Setup takes only a few minutes; we recommend doing it today.
6. UID Transfers
You can transfer directly to other MC Markets users via UID, bypassing the blockchain and incurring no network fee. Only Spot Account assets are supported, KYC must be completed, and each asset has amount and frequency limits.
FAQ
Q: What if a deposit hasn't arrived after more than 10 minutes?
A: First, take the transaction hash (TxHash) to a block explorer to check its confirmation status. If it's confirmed on-chain but not credited on the platform, contact support via a ticket and include the TxHash. Never initiate the deposit again.
Q: If I deposit on the wrong network, can it be recovered?
A: No. Blockchain transactions are irreversible — which is exactly why “matching networks on both ends + testing with a small amount first” matters so much.
Quick Recap
Deposits go to the Spot Account, external ones arrive in 1–5 minutes, and the platform charges nothing beyond gas. The iron rule: match the network on both ends, and test with a small amount the first time. Withdrawals are initiated only from Spot; set up the whitelist as early as possible — it's your last line of defense if your account is compromised.
Risk Warning
Sending crypto assets on the wrong network can result in permanent loss; supported networks and limits are as shown on the deposit and withdrawal pages.
